Welcome !

Our Troop was established in 2003 and resides in the Dan Patch District of the Northern Star Council. We meet all year round every other Tuesday at St. Mark's School in Shakopee (at the corner of Scott St. and 3rd Avenue). We aim to run a boy-driven program with an active advancement program. We have monthly outings that include camping trips, biking trips, hiking trips and district camporees. We currently have 40+ active boys in multiple Patrols. We camp using the Patrol system and our own Troop patrol boxes and equipment. Our Troop Committee consists of dedicated parent volunteers who believe strongly in the aims of Boy Scouting. To date over 30 Troop 619 scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Pack 916 Webelos Overnight

Posted on Jul 19 2014 - 3:49pm

Pack 916 is looking for Boy Scouts to volunteer at a Webelos overnight. They are looking for boys that can teach cooking and other skills. This is a great opportunity to show Webelos what Boy Scouts are all about. The schedule is pretty open ended. Scouts can attend for just a few hours or the whole campout. They can help plan a campfire program or spend time on their own. Sign up if you are interested and we will get you in touch with the Webelos Leaders to work out the details.

St Mark's Julifest Help

Posted on Jul 19 2014 - 3:48pm

St. Mark's generously sponsors our troop, provides us with a meeting space and let's us store our trailers on their property. One of the ways we give back is by helping out at the annual St. Mark's Julifest church festival. Scouts, parents and leaders help run the children's game booths on Friday - Sunday, July 25 - 27. Please signup up for one or more shifts on the website by July 1 so we can let them know how many scouts they can count on for each shift.

Friday 7 - 9:30pm

Courtyard Lawn Mowing

Posted on Jun 23 2014 - 12:44pm

As a thank you for the meeting space and support they provide, the troop mows the small courtyard behind the troop room for St Mark's Chruch, our charter organization. We usually have a rotation list of scouts who take turns each week during the summer. Mom and dad provide the transportation and lawn mower and you provide about 30 minutes of service.

Please contact Steve Schiffman if you would be willing to help out St. Mark's and he will add you to the list.
